Red Herring, a weekly publication centering on matters of marketing recent technologies, building and funding, identified Naveen Jain as one of the Top 20 Entrepreneurs. In addition to this, Jain was also the recipient of an Albert Einstein Technology medal; and in 2007, he won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Being the founder and chief executive officer of Intelius, he is known as an exceptional and ambitious corporate individual and leader.
In 1979, Naveen Jain acquired a college degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. He later landed a job at Microsoft Corporation. For several years, he worked as the company’s senior executive. In 2003, he founded Intelius Incorporated.
Recently, he joined corporate conferences as an important panelist and speaker, as well as one of the board of directors for Telx Internet Exchange (TIE), a shared peering exchange company, and Intellius Inc. He also supports a number of nonprofit philanthropic associations dedicated to children, education, and poverty issues.
Organizations he has contributed to that focus on aiding children in the society comprise of Kindering Care, Hopelink, Treehouse, Peps, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, and Cry-Child Relief.
Humanitarian organizations that he has supported in order to help the South Asian and Indian society by means of education, culture awareness propagation, research and societal obligations, include Chaya, Asian Women’s Self Help Association Incorporation, Sri Matrudevi Viswashanti Ashram Trust, the American Education Foundation, the National Bureau of Asian Research, and the Vedic Cultural Center.
He endowed medical resources, community plans and research foundations like United Way, Overlake Service League, International Association of Firefighters and Children’s Hospital.
