Look, I’m not a spineless gullible man, all too accustomed to watching junk tv without a date instead of living it up with friends. I’d bet you haven’t seen me ramble on great dating and relationships. That’s just me for ya.

Dependence is an unfortunate foreign condition and intentionally ripped out of my man programming (man-gramming?). Even so, Here’s the situation, I definitely needed to squelch a special cohabitation and I felt a great deal for but simply would never last. I guess somone would tell ya its been a while since I dated someone new. I’m missing the optimism of dating thru great expectations I used to enjoy.

Being single is new and free. It’s a given that I can’t sit tight, peacefully binging on Star Trek Enterprise episodes off the torrents. The primary reason for this spell of fresh break-up dating apathy? The people I know are settling down, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.

My go-getting hunting buddy, Josh, who will never have dating lameness, informed me he’s almost shooting from the same blind as I am. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. Of course, I like mingling among attractive women who share my passions. So I got real about my dating life and joined.

Keep it real, there ain’t room to feel down by being alone when you haven’t even put yourself into the game. As our senior year football coach Terry Jennings snuck into conversation when his wife wasn’t looking, “There’s other fish in the bowl, sparky.”

Coach was crazy, and a little out of touch. However, he was on the money in a way nobody could understand. He was likable in all ways. This care-free series of singles events in Dallas here could have done a number on his shiny bald head.

At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I shared a great evening with some substantive and desirable women that catch my eye. I actually had a good time with some pretty enjoyable singles. The evening ended following an exchange of digits, and even came across some social networking connections for my company. Score.

Get out there. You won’t go wrong if you don’t try. Don’t sell yourself short, you might as well have great expectations for for your own good.

Frankly,

Josiah
