You walk into a brick and mortar casino and ask about rake backs, well, you’ll probably be laughed out of the building. But online the game is an entirely different animal. Online casinos don’t have the same perks to offer to their players as do the B&Ms, but that’s not to say they don’t have them.

A lot of poker sites have a rake to the pot, usually not more than 5% of the total, or they set it at a capped total. While it may seem insignificant at the time, if you can find a third-party site that offers to “give-back” your rake, or award you with a percentage of the rake from your account, it can be used to your advantage to help supplement your bank roll.

Time for that ever hated math that is so prevalent in poker. Let’s say you play a sizeable amount of poker. Something like 1000 hands a day at with an average rake of about 0.50 dollars. You’re rake contribution averages to about 0.10 dollars.

Now on it’s face 10 cents doesn’t look like much. But let’s look at it over the course of a day, then over the course over a week. Over 1000 hands, with you’re rake contribution being 10 cents per hand, you’re putting in about 100 dollars a day in just the rake. If you’re playing 7 days a week, that’s 700 you’ve given up just to the rake.

Now, let’s say you find an affiliate site that gives you a rake back of 25%. That’s 2.5 cents per hand, or about 25 dollars a day. On a weekly average, that’s 175 dollars, over a month 700 dollars, and over a year 8400 dollars. It’s not looking so insignificant now is it?
