It’s all over the news, and it seems like everyone is talking about it. It’s an election year, and those elections seem to be right around the corner. So we are bombarded by reviews and discussions about these politicians and their views as well as beliefs.
Whether you are a Republican, A Democrat or even an Independent, you have to take many of these ratings and reviews with a grain of salt. The political pundits will always put their spin on things, so often the truth gets buried under political hogwash. You could literally watch the same speech on CNN and on Fox and then get two diametrically opposed discussions from some completely biased panels afterwards. In many cases it seems like these pundits have already decided how they are going to respond to something before it has even been said. And God forbid if somebody disagrees, because that’s when the interrupting begins. Robert’s rules of order certainly do not apply in this arena.
Despite all of this though, one can find non-profit reviews and ratings. These tend to be far less biased and don’t have the spin placed on them. Typically these would be found either in journals (not magazines) or online. It might be worth looking into, because the news you get on TV is really neither fair nor balanced.
